Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea - Sanderson Hotel

Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea

Hey Everyone,

Welcome back to the blog which today is about the Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea at the Sanderson Hotel in Central London.

For the ones who don’t know: You basically jump down the rabbit hole into the magical world of Alice in Wonderland.

This was part of my birthday celebrations last weekend and it’s something if you have the chance and are looking to plan an afternoon out for a special occasion, it’s worth looking at this.

The booking is very easy - all you need is to pick a time slot and fill in the details on the form before you arrive.

I was really impressed with the call they placed to confirm the booking and also check all the dietary requirements for everyone in the group. There were a few I had to make sure they knew about so from the moment we sat down everything was catered for.

The whole afternoon was worth a 5star rating. All staff members were very friendly during our time there. The concierges open the door for you, all staff members can assist you to go to the high tea area and once there you jump down the rabbit hole.

The tea is served in an outdoor patio area and the setup was impressive. From the roof covering to the blankets and heaters that were provided it really didn’t feel like you were outside. The staff were all incredibly friendly and also happy to chase away the few pigeons that came to see what was going on.

Once the whole party was seated, the staff came to double check the dietary requirements again but also to check everyone was sat at the correct places at the table to make sure they did everything they could  to avoid cross contamination.

The food then arrived and from the savoury to the sweet options it all looked great with the Alice in wonderland theme running through it. In the pictures you can see the “elixir” of juice, the chess board inspired espresso cake and many more themed bits.

We left feeling very full.
