Canal Boat Travels - Amsterdam

Canal boat travels - Amsterdam

Hey Everyone,

Welcome back to the blog and today’s theme is Travel and about my recent trip to Amsterdam.

Last week I had a few days away in Holland with my boyfriend to see his family which was lucky to include an afternoon trip to see a small part of the beautiful city.

We arrived by train after a short journey from where we were staying. The travel in Holland is  miles ahead in organisation than the UK. From the double decker trains to the dedicated bus routes it makes travel really easy to encourage people to use public transport instead of cars.

With only a few hours to spend in the city we decided to take a Canal boat Trip to see some of the amazing buildings and scenery that the city has to offer.

There are many different Canal Boat trips running, the one we chose cost €12 each and lasted an hour. The commentary covered different languages so it was easy to follow what was going on.

We saw some of the amazing sites, including the amazing buildings and architecture as we travelled round the canal. The boats are covered to save you from the weather with glass roofs so you can do the tours at any point during the year.

The city has a lot to offer and I really can’t wait to explore more on our next visit.

Have you been to Amsterdam before? Let me know below where you would recommend to visit and things you enjoyed doing when you were there.

Have a great week

Love Holly
