Winnie the Pooh - Exploring a Classic

Hey Everyone,

I hope you've all had a great weekend.
If you've seen some of the pictures I've posted this weekend you'll have seen I was at the Victoria and Albert Museum yesterday in London.
Theres a few exhibitions there I like to check out but the Winnie the Pooh one is one I've wanted to catch before it finishes on April 8th.

The easiest way I can describe to find the exhibition is to come in the entrance to the museum that is in the underground walk way from South Kensington station. Follow the signs towards the Liner exhibition and also the Winnie the Pooh one as they are next to each other and its the easiest route to take.
I came out a different exit of the station and ended up going in a completely different entrance to normal which completely threw me for directions.

The exhibition itself is a ticketed one so I completely recommend you book in advance to avoid being turned away over the Easter break. If you have a V&A membership card you can use this for entry into the exhibition.
I did note a small buggy park outside the exhibition is worth using if needed as it was fairly busy inside.

The exhibition itself is incredible and much bigger than I thought it was going to be. Featuring the original Winnie the Pooh drawings and stories the exhibition is as much for younger kids as it is for adults.
There are many amazing drawings and sketches up as you walk around and also this amazing display of the bears.

I picked up this amazing book which is available in the shop as you leave. Its full of the drawings and lots of special things from the exhibition and a great memory for any fan.

Hope you all have a great week

Online vs The High St

Hey Everyone,

So tonights blog comes from a conversation that developed at lunchtime today after talking about the closure of Toys R Us

It made me think that in my local area now I can actually think of one stand alone toy shop on the high street that is not part of another store.
Years ago you saw more individual stand alone stores which I remember going to with my brother. We didn't go every week but had the chance of saving up our pocket money to spend when we got there or to put towards something bigger.

Toys R Us to both of us was a massive treat to go to and I always thought one day I'd be able to take my children too. With last weeks announcement of more New Look stores and even some of the flagship ones closing down it makes me wonder how much closer we are getting to shopping all being done in shopping centres/malls or online.

It also makes me wonder about how the next generation won't have the experiences we had growing up, with learning to save their pocket money and going to pick something out in the toy shop or just going shopping on a local high street. Online shopping is there for ease for the majority of us but it is taking away something that has been with us for many years. There are too many empty shops n some places more than full shops.

I will always support local shops, if you have the time to stop and look you can always find something to come away with.
Councils should be doing more to save this experience so it's doesn't loose to the online culture.

I hope you've enjoyed this blog it was a different one to write

Pauls Boutique

Hey Everyone,

So for today's blog I thought I'd focus on a brand.

This week I ordered the new Maisy Top Handle Bag in Pink / Black. I fell in love with this bag when I saw it appear on Instagram a few weeks ago and have been waiting patiently to get my hands on it after release.
I had to wait a few extra weeks but was very happy as the price had dropped a bit and I had a discount code to use on the order.
The whole order process when ever I've used the website over the years has always been very quick and easy and I also love that you have extra options to pay including Paypal which on some websites I find a much easier option.
Even though I ordered late on the Thursday eve the bag was dispatched the next day with its delivery slot for Monday all lined up. I love that Pauls Boutique use DPD as their delivery drivers. You can download the app and track where your delivery is and its so easy to reorganise if needed.

The bag itself eventually arrived on Tuesday and I am so happy with it. Perfect size for day to day use and am happy to say it'll be great when the weather improves to wear with my biker jacket as an over shoulder one. Its a great add to see the bags come with straps now and also decent size length ones as well so they are at a good length to wear and not to high up.

I really recommend all the new designs on the site at the moment. The new ranges for the Spring are all amazing its hard not to order anymore.

I have you've enjoyed this blog

Let it Snow

Hey Everyone,

I hope you are all ok and not too cold if you are in the UK and in the path from the so called Beast From the East that is covering the UK.

Whilst it's been nice to see the snow which looks pretty for a few hours or so I don't know about you but I am so ready for Spring right now. This wind chill has made its point.

How have you all found the snow where you are ? It's been very quick with the snow showers and blizzards here in London. I'm currently looking out the window at a very snowy scene which could easily be passed off as Narnia right now.

I'm working on a set of blog posts that will be up on here and also on Box office Bloggers over March to celebrate both the blogs birthdays along with some new posts so make sure you check back and see whats going on this month.

If you haven't yet hit the follow button to keep up to date with my new posts :) thank you all so much for the support for both the blogs as well.
