Hitchin Lavender

Hitchin Lavender

If you are looking for something to do outside this summer then Hitchin Lavender should be on your list to visit.

Booking our tickets for our visit was very easy and straight forward through the official website on https://www.hitchinlavender.com/

Traffic depending you are look at a 45 min drive from Junction 23 of the M25 on the A1 to reach your destination.

If you type in Hitchin Lavender on your GPS system it will give you the best route there.

We decided to go on a Friday afternoon, parking was easy when we arrived as it wasn't too busy. There is a lot of space for parking if you are looking to book in the holidays or weekends.

On arrival our e-tickets were checked and after purchasing our lavender bags we were allowed to have a wonder round in our time in the fields. When booking you are advised if you wish to pick lavender to bring your own scissors with you.

We walked towards the end of the fields as being quite high have a great view over the area. There is no time limit when you are in so you can enjoy what the fields have top offer.

On a side note I would recommend if you want to go all the way through the fields to wear longer trousers as the lavender smell brings a lot of bees out for feeding.

You can bring home as much lavender as your bags can carry. When we had finished we had a look in the gift shop and chose some lavender soap along with some raspberry and lavender jam and a new bird bath for our garden.

There are a couple of places to eat and drink whilst visiting the site. We chose to have a snack in the team room and barn shop to keep cool in the shade. The tea room and barn shop has a great variety of cold and hot food along with more items that were on sale in the shop for you to look at as well.

I would recommend this for both adults and children it really is a lovely way to spend the day outdoors and great fun for all.
