My Love of Theatre

Hey Everyone,

Hope you've all had a great weekend, after sorting out my every growing file of tickets I've collected over the years this weekend it gave me an idea for my blog this evening.

After persuading my dad to let me into the loft to get my collection of theatre and concert programmes down I thought I'd give you a bit of an insight into my love of theatre.

It started way back in 97 when I was lucky to get to see Adam Garcia in Saturday Night Fever at the London Palladium.
The show started my love for musical theatre and I've never looked back.

It was really until 2006 even though I saw a lot of shows in between that my show love really took off.
I hold Footloose as the cause, It's my favourite film and I was determined to see it when it arrived in London.
This started it all off for me, I was hooked from the first part of the show and loved the energy that came from each performance. The dance off at the end was always a favourite of mine to watch.

Then came Avenue Q - now i'd been really lucky to see this a couple of times on it's West End run but it wasn't until it came to Bromley that the chance of a meet and greet with the puppets happened. As you can see by my smile It was a complete highlight of mine.

Rock of Ages came along for me when I needed some thing to help me escape my own head and it fast became a favourite show of mine. It was there I made some amazing friends who also have the same love of theatre as me and many adventures began.

I have to give a nod to Wicked, I've loved the show every time I've been lucky to see it. From Kerry Ellis to Emma Hatton the cast are always phenomenal every time and the soundtrack well thats been on my itunes for a long time and I cant see it ever leaving.
Theres something that draws you into this show. I think from the music to the costumes and the set it's one that keeps you coming back.
I have my top 3 for Elphaba they are Kerry Ellis, Emma Hatton and of course Idina Menzel.

Next up is Thriller Live, the show is something special and holds a lot of amazing memories for me over the past couple of years.  The Show has always been a great night out every time.

Theres been loads more highlights over the years but thank you for having a read of some of my favourites along the way.

Have a great week
Love Holly
